Won't you have to take it off for PHD use? If I am not real careful my PHD bends SMV fender brace when l lift for transport.

Never used a PHD (post hole digger) on my tractor , can you post pictures as to why the PHD would hit the box ?
I can't see why a attachment would raise or encroach on striking the box .

Thanks

Will do next time I put PHD on. My solution to storage and old man install/remove it is to disassemble every time. So putting on for a pic only is thirty minute project

Every 3pt boom I've used (not many), when completely raised, the top link is very close to vertical.

So do either attachment go to such a larger degree of angle than the top link ?
I use a 3 point quick connect and have never used a boom pole (have FEL) or PHD , so does the attachment , I presume replaces the top link , so does the angle of the attachment exceed the angle of the original top link , if not then it would be fine .

To answer your question in a word.... "yes". PHD's and 3pt booms tend to have their top links significantly higher than the standard equipment. This is to allow the end of the attachment to raise at a higher ratio than the 3pt arms.

For instance, if the 3pt arms raised 3', the end of the boom might have 6' of travel (or greater).

From what I was able to see on this site is the boom pole is fixed to the 3 point lower and top link , no problem there , the PHD might pivot on a fulcrum like point thus increasing the lift distance but it still attaches to the same top link point as the top link .
Need pictures , if so kind .

Unfortunately, I don't have a pic of my boom pole "in use". And, it's hard to see from this pic (from TSC). But, here's a pic from TSC. You can see that the distance from the bottom pins, to where the top link connects is more than standard.

Thanks for the picture , yes would like to see one mounted on tractor and at full raised height . I thought that all attachments were the same height from bottom pins to top link mount , kind of set standard so to speak , like all 3 point Cat II are the same .
Thanks for the info .

I think most 3pt attachments are close to a standard. I believe the boom is standard width, but do know for a fact it's upper link is significantly higher than a standard.

Unfortunately, my boom is tucked away and would be quite a mess to get out (Freeze/thaw cycle here, we're in the Thaw portion). So, it may be a while before I get to snapping a pic.
