I'm in Virginia and I'm starting to get quotes together for a Kubota L2501 HST.

I wanted to ask you all if these prices looked fair. One dealer broke it all down for me;

L2501 HST, R4 tires, fluid filled, $16,500
LA525 QA loader, 66" bucket, $4300
3rd function, installed - $1000
QH15 Quick Hitch - $500
BB12 60" Box blade - $600
RB16 Rear blade, 72" - $1000

Cash price was $21,500 with all rebates, plus tax.

Another (much closer) dealer quoted me for the same equipment but added a GS05 grading blade, $22,159 cash + tax. I don't need both the grader and box blades so I would think this price would be less once one of those implements was removed.

And one more;
L2501 HST w/ LA525 and 3rd function - $19,900
QH15 quick hitch - $400
RB15 rear blade - $600
BB12 box blade - $700
$21,600 total, plus tax

I thought I read on here that the Kubota 66" bucket is made of a thinner material than the 60"? Is this correct?

Thanks!

66" is a light materials bucket, where "materials" refers to what you put in the bucket, not what it's made of. That just means it's greater volume isn't meant to be filled with heavy materials. The metal construction itself is the same.

The standard pin-on bucket is 60" and might be easier to maneuver, but that's the only advantage I can think of (other than cost). If you opt for quick-attach, you automatically get the 66".

Prices look good compared to what I have seen in NY state.I would want the SSQA and HD bucket.

Ah ok. So if I plan on moving riprap and gravel I should plan on getting another bucket or try to negotiate swapping the Kubota bucket for a HD one?

No, just be careful not to heap the bucket full of heavy materials.
