L2500DT front axle seal replacement

I have a 2000 L2500DT with 750 hours and a leaking axle seal. I have removed the axle flange #31353-4411-0, bearing # 08101-06206, and bevel gear # 31333-4394-0. My problem is removing the cir-clips (split collar?) #37650-4368-0. I have bent picks, small screwdrivers, etc. with no results. Anyone here have the secret to their removal? Thanks in advance! That is the right front axle seal. Sorry, Bill

This morning I used the same chisel and hammer as yesterday and the collar popped off after 2 strikes. Bill
