l2250 clutch not disengaging until bottom of pedal

Hi,

I have a kubota l2250 with a new clutch bearing pressure plate last year, since then it has probably 500-750 hours. The temperature here is very low, and now the clutch does not want to disengage easily will grind gears trying to shuttle shift from F to R in 1/5 shifts.

Temperature is 16F here, we do not usually use the tractor in cold weather not sure if cold is affecting clutch.

tractor will stall in hi 4th gear if you dump clutch.

The pedal does not seem to disenage clutch until the very bottom of pedal travel, is this adjustable? I read it should disengage much higher, I do not recall where exactly it disengaged before but it was fine after a mechanic put the new clutch in last year.

Does the turnbuckle part under the clutch adjust the pedal travel?

Yes, the turnbuckle is the adjustment.
You should have about one inch of free play at top of pedal before feeling the clutch.
Never "ride" the clutch ( as in keeping your foot on it) when traveling.
Have your mechanic re adjust it for you if you feel unable to do it yourself.

If it has changed a lot in a relatively short time, something in the pedal linkage may be gradually failing. Cracked welds are not unheard of.
