I JUST BOUGHT A KUBOTA 1500 TRACTOR. CAN ANY ON TELL ME HOW I WOULD FIND OUT THE YEAR IT WAS MADE? THE SERIAL NUMBER IS 51471, ALSO CAN I GET A SERVICE MANUAL FOR THE 1500 OR DO I JUST ORDER A L175 MANUAL.

I think they are around the early 80's.

I have an L1501 with a 4 speed PTO and a few other changes. Yours should be a 4 speed PTO but only 1 low range but I have 2 low ranges = 16 total forward gears.

I think L175 is OK. Over here the L185 is the match.

Not too much info on them but I think with L175 you can't go too far wrong.

Thanks for the respones. I do have a high and low gear range that gives me 10 speeds.

How do you get 10 speeds??

4 x 2 = 8 or am I missing something here???

Or do you count reverse.
