Nope. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Going by the name I bet it will have an 18 hp V-Twin Briggs or Kohler hopefully the Kohler. I bet it will be about $2,300 or so going by the other L100 prices. Not too bad of a deal for an economy mower.

Ok.. since some one quessed it i can say 20hp engine same as L120 with the same deck as L110 and has big seat and special float tires super wide super low profile.. cool as h*** better grab them up only 50K to be made in special edition trim. i've got mine ordered /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif forget price have to look at work tommorrow. i think was 2K or so. Nice unit unbelieveable power for such a small deck no problems choppin tough wet grass etc.

The other models are TBA and not speced out yet. Expect official release in late spring special or so there keeping everything hush hush i heard it at the waffle house if anyone ask me /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Intersting upgrades from the L110:
Wider rear tires than the L120 or obviously the L110; Seat the same larger size as the L120; 20 hp enigine like the L120...oh yeah $200 less!!

Just some attachments were cheaper at a HD according to one woman who came in for a rear bagger but we did not have one in stock for her last summer. Anyway, I got a chance to look at the L118 this saturday at work and it seems ok. I do like the seat on it and if you need an entry level garden tractor it would be quite comfortable to ride on!

Was that 20 hp engine on the L 118 a Kohler or briggs motor?

The engine is a Briggs and Stratton.

Its basicaly a L120 with 42" deck and manual pto system. The prices on HD and JD dealers are identical no barganing is allowed at least what we've been told.

One thing to note the newest ones have a black belt guide on bottom where the crank shaft meets the deck drive belt. These are the newest units should have build date sometime around mid-febuary on i think.

The 118 is probaly the best unit they offer it. I think the L120 is worth the extra 200 dollars but thats up to u. We have yet to bog down a 118 in wet clumpy grass etc.

One thing to be sure everyone buying them does is check the front e-clips i would take the dust caps off every time i mow possible wheel seperation issues have been seen on intial wear in periods say first 1-3 times u use the unit. Also listen for the blades not stopping the spec is 5 seconds if they don't simply grab the idler assembley and pull it oppisite normal rotation it would travel to engage the blades this will decrease the gap in the blade brake to pulley assemblys by bending the 2 blade brake rod assemblies back or have a jd dealer warranty this.

And 3rd thing enjoy u've bought a well built greeneville Tn made product which is #2 largest lawn mower building plant in the usa . passionatly named Mowville.

We just got one of them L 118s in about a week ago and today we sold it already. People seem to like them. We'll see how the customer likes it.

I don't know about all of the belts and drives...what I want to know is if I want to start it, does it start? Does it cut the grass on my 1 acre? Does it ride good and feel good in the nice comfortable seat?

Basically: does it do what it is supposed to do, when it is supposed to.

I sure hope so...!!
