Is there any difference between the PTO on the L3200 DT and the B2320 gear? Specs indicate that both are transmission PTOs. Is there anything in the gearing of the two models that would make the PTO operate differently?

Also, when I was driving the L3200 HST, it seemed that the clutch was needed to slowly engage the PTO. So how is this "live?" I guess I don't quite understand how it differs from the "transmission PTOs" other than that you don't need to utilize the clutch (unless you want to) with the Hydro. I drove both the L3200HST and the L3200DT, but I didn't grasp the difference in PTOs between the two. Any clarification would be appreciated.

Read this: TractorData.com - Power Take-Off

Live just means you can keep the PTO turning while he transmission is not engaged it has nothing to do with speed of engagement as I understand it. Most of our tractors have Independent PTO or transmission.
