L-35 backhoe

Can the L-35 with a bt-900 hoe attachment ( with subframe) be capible of digging deep enough to install septic tanks?

The specs show digging depth maximum 111.3,not sure how deep a septic has to be in your area.

I've done this with my smaller Ford but it depends on the tank. Most tanks around here are around 6 feet from ground level to bottom of tank, once I did a job that had to go farther down, I did it but had to cut a trough in to the site first so the tractor was sitting 2 feet lower than grade. Where there's a will there's a way!

I have dug deeper than I ever needed with my L35. I believe it can dig to 9.2 feet.

I just set two 500 gal concrete tanks at the housae. I believe I went 5'4" or so. The hole you dig or better yet the depth of hole you dig depends on many variables. One if yourinstalling tanks for a house you may have to go lower then natural grade. It would be different for a mobile home, you could set it a little higher.. It would probally depend on your ground also. here the ground is flat. But anyway to answer your post it should be more then enough. Also remember to get the bottom flat even if you have to level it by hand, you do not want your tanks rocking. Also when you get them set fill them at least half full of water.
