Hi, boy do I have a problem, there is a leak of fluid coming from one bolt at the base of the hydro unit. I'd guess that it loses about a cup a day.
Yesterday when I found the leak I tightened the bolt about a half turn and it appeared to stop at the time but after a day of work it was leaking at least as bad. Now I'm afraid that I might have over torqued it.
As for my fluid level I have zero knowledge. The sight window is useless and even the Kubota people agree and couldn't give me an alternative to checking the level. So I have no idea if it's overfilled or low.
I'm in a bind on a critical job that should be finished today but I sure as heck don't want to end up destroying my pump.
Obviously any help will be greatly appreciated.

Would the leak be in this area? If it is, it's probably the hose and the bolt happened to be a little loose, or I have no idea what I'm talking about.

The large hose in Ga Kub's picture is know to develop cracks and leaks, but it is an intake hose for the hydro pumps so the effect is air leaking into the pump not fluid leaking out (jerky FEL etc.). I use my sight gage, if I see fluid it is good to go. On the bolt leakage can you take the bolt out clean the area and bolt, then cover the bolt with RTV sealant and reinstall. Some cars have bolts going through coolant etc. and uses RTV to seal them.
