You have to be pushing the limits (assuming that's a standard class V hitch), right? How much is your setup all combined with trailer?
That is the one downside I've found -- I don't have a towing package that'll move the excavator -- next truck will have to have a gooseneck ball and then I need another trailer... threads on a sweater...

It’s a pintle hitch on the truck and trailer. They’re rated for the load. I’ve never had the truck on the scale. The loaded trailer is around 25k. I’d guess the truck is 15-16k. The truck GVW is 33k, I’m not sure what the GCVW is, probably around 50,000.

Here’s the hitch. There’s no markings stamped on it but comparing to other stuff that is rated it’s probably a 50,000 pound hitch and a 45,000 pound ring.
