I was quoted "over the phone" $10.300 for a ZD21/60' Pro Deck and $11.900 for a ZD 28/72" Pro Deck.I have purchased from this Dealer in the past.

I was told that these prices was "as good as it gets"

Can anyone tell me if these quotes are in line? Or should I make a few more phone calls? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

These were outright prices with no trade in.

I got my ZD21 with 60' pro deck for $9,500 from Hoefling Truck and Tractor in southern Indiana (1-800-777-9852). This included setup and delivery with no trade in.

Thanks,If your numbers are true list prices,it sure looks like that "some" dealerships are just setting their price and selling the 0% financing...these quotes were over the phone, I might be able to get them to come my way a little if I paid them a visit...will have to see /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

The pro deck mows very well but I don't think there is much difference between the two. The pro deck has the edge in longevity, thicker metal, plus it has the swivel casters on the front edge so it won't gouge your lawn on sharp turns. It is a really nice deck and I would go with it again.

Thanks Dozernut,I'm anxious to see if the Pro Deck will chew up the clippings as advertised,it would save me bagging whenever the grass got away from us,which happens once in a while...Thanks again for your imput,it's a big plus to hear from someone who owns a ZD and will tell you the real skinny on things...

Well, after a couple of weeks of shopping,I pulled the trigger on a ZD28F/72" Pro Deck...was delivered last night and spent a couple of hours on the new baby in the family...WOW,these things are fast, this is the first ZTR I've operated or owned and I can tell there is a "certain learning curve" when it comes to running one of these mowers...

Mike Reeter, you certainly are a study in fanata-orange-mowingism.

Let's see, if I recall correctly, in Chapter One you were in bed reading Kubota riding mower brochures. In Chapter Two you were in bed surrounded by Kubota 2910 brochures. In Chapter Three you were in bed buried under BX brochures. In Chapter Four you were in bed with your entire house covered by 4610 and batwing mower brochures. All of which you bought--giving you more total mowing power than your state highway department. So, of course you then needed to research and buy a Z mower to cut your lawn.

Do I have this approximately correct? You can fess up here, Mike, but just don't run for President or Supreme Court justice. Some people might not ...... er ..... understand.

But TBN understands.

Even more bizarre, TBN approves.

Oh, that a wife could be like TBN!

Well,Glenmac, you have a good memory /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I think I suffer from "UPGRADEITIS" A friend of mine had been hounding me for some time to sell our G1900 to him. One day I shot him a price and he bought it without blinking an eye /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So you see,a man cannot be without at least 3 Kubotas in the shed /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif when you mow as much grass as we do,it requires good equipment.

Having a wife that also approves is greater than having all the goodies one can buy...she always says "when your dead and gone,I will have a good auction" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

BTW,I also mow about an acre of Highway frontage /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
