Went to a big Kubota show at my dealer today. Took 71 pictures. Found out about a lot of cool new stuff coming like the K-Connect (a new version of the Auto-Hitch) that they had there, larger versions of the R-series loaders and excavators coming, the purchase of Land Pride by Kubota, etc.

Also talked to the factory reps about all the foolish practices of people only changing filters at 50 hours and not ALL fluids, using gear oil in the front axles in cooler Canadian climates and putting vents on the front axles of B and BX's.

Thanks for the tip. Gotta love how the keyboard engineers know more than the Factory engineers that manufacturers employ, eh?

Where are ALL the pictures and the answers???

What's with Kubota anyway? I was a t a dealer last week buying filters and saw a R610. I get a Canadian construction magazine in which Kubota advertises heavily, and I never saw it announced or advertised!

Nice machine. Curious how it compares to the other compacts.

Did they have any JD equipment there so they could bash it like our local JD dealer network does with Kubota?

What is auto-hitch?

K-connect could be interesting.

Anything new on the M59 at the show? Supposedly they are making some changes.

By the way, you still have 71 pictures to post.

You sure Kubota bought Landpride? Last I heard it was some sort of partnership.

That's funny, but sad at the same time.

Our local Deere dealer bought some bx tractors (don't remember the exact size) with Landpride bush hogs, just so they could bash them also.

Kubota must be eating their dessert.

Well unlike JD who is closing plants and laying off, Kubota is expanding to meet the demand.

Kubota.is expanding, but they are also hurting on Ag tractor sales, likely due to the poor grain prices. Kubota now offers an $8k rebate on their M series and $2500 on their MX series. Haven't seen a rebate like that in the time I've been dealing. John Deere offers me $14K to trade my Kubota for an equivalent Deere - they definitely are hurting. Not so much given on CUTs because of their non-agricultural market. Kubota is building for the future - future RTVs that is. Their new plant is to be totally dedicated to RTVs and derivatives but that will free up additional space where they are now assembled.

Land Pride website says they are family owned?

The manufacturer states the 50 hour service is filters-only. People run these tractors for thousands of hours based on that schedule. Is that just your opinion or is there a study someplace on why this is a bad idea? I've not sent any fluids in for analysis.

That's funny, but sad at the same time.

The JD dealer I went to near our place in NH couldn't spell Kubota. I'm not sure the JD salesman I dealt with could even spell "Deere." It was like walking into a store, asking for socks, and having the guy demonstrate scissors.

The Kubota reps told me this a long time ago when I was invited to a dealer meeting. But nobody believed me, LOL.
