Just got myself a new RTV-X (Formerly RTV900), I was hoping you Kubota RTV owners would share your mods and improvements you made to yours. Mounted tool boxes, upgraded storage, bed accessories, etc. Also looking for a set of mirrors that don't stick out too far, don't need tree branches whacking them. Pics are always welcome!

Congratulations on the purchase. You will love it. The additions I did to my X900, X1100 and now my XCab are: • variable speed control for the wiper, this is a must for anyone that plows snow, • Dome light switch on the driver door - this helps with late night use, but on the 900 you likely may not have doors • backup light - another must for night use. I do have a rear work light, but having the lower backup lamp coming on automatically is so much easier. • a small LED lamp illuminating the shift area - really not needed, but it does help. • Side and back extensions to the dump bed - increases volume for moving firewood, wood chips, etc. • I have the Kubota side view mirrors and they work well and rarely are in the way, • And lastly, a rubber "seal" across the back extension panel that keeps debris from falling down between the dump body and the cab. This is especially helpful when hauling with wood chips, gravel, hay, etc.

Thank you for your post, you and I think alike. I do not have a cab. I had bed wall extensions on my old RTV500, and will post likely add them to this new machine. I definitely need a light for the dash area, as that was my complaint on the RTV500 as well. Can't see the dash to shift, etc at night.

Warn VRX 45-S winch with synthetic line, front and rear work lights, windshield, canopy, bluetooth speakers, and mirrors ( dealer threw them in with purchase). I added receiver ball mounts to each end for attaching a clevis for trailer tiedown as well as pulling my drag harrow. I also added an extension to the rear hitch so as to not hit the RTV-X with the manure spreader or pasture vacuum. All of the accessories were installed by my dealer, hence the clean dash switches and remote connection.

How did you wire your backup lights? Is the harness and switch at the transmission in place OEM? I have an 1100.

I have my second 1100 and I've added these magnetic mirrors, but always attach such with bale string or the like. I have no cab or windshield as my rough terrain and forever changing forests would tear them apart. Sure I have to reset them, but that is far better than having to repair or replace!

I could probably get on board with the magnetic lights. I'm in the woods with my RTV and the branches would beat up the mirrors. My luck even though I'd add string to prevent a total fly off, the mirror glass would smack the roll bar and break, who knows

Kubota has the hardware for wiring in a backup beeper, so I just ordered the switch and harness and installed it. The electric connector for the beeper is already there so just unwrap it to make the connection. I made a simple bracket for a LED lamp (similar to the front and rear work lights) that I purchased. Makes a world of difference. I believe The Kubota Kit for the X1100C is K7591-99640. I went through the parts breakdown and purchased the pieces I needed and saved some money. If you are interested I can send you the parts breakdown with the individual part numbers. I just don't have the information with me at home. Fairly easy install since the wiring connector is right by the bracket that is needed.
