Thanks Tim. I've been reading your posts from when you were looking at them. I guess I'm in your shoes now. How do you like it? Is it really under powered. I just sold my Rhino because due to a health issue I need a heated cab. My Rhino would go anywhere. I'm concerned that the 1100 is going to limit my ability to go places that I like to go such as the river fishing.

It's not underpowered, just not fast. I've taken it in some pretty messy areas and never had any problems.

A winch in your case might be a good idea depending on where you're taking it...Some of those river banks can be a little unpredictable and this thing is heavy.

The only real limitation is the height/width through the woods...Other than that, I go where the quads go.

So far I really like it. Just wish it had roll down windows.

Love the HVAC..Especially this time of the year.

I think your right about the winch....maybe mounted on a 2' receiver plate to be able to mount it in the front or rear.

Do they have a reciever in the front and rear?

I'm having the worksite tires put on it instead of the atv or turf.

The machine is actually set up for me now and they wanted to deliver it last week I'm just having trouble pulling the trigger.

Yes it has receivers (different sizes, at least they look different) front and rear...You can also perminantly mount it to the front.

Can't speak to the worksite tires..I have ATV's, but hear that the worksites are very good all around tires.

I'd say buy it if you've test driven it and like it...It's a nice machine. It will behave a little differently than your previous UTV, but it doesn't take long to get used to. :drink:

I don't know about the 1100 but I do have a 900. timswi is right, they are heavy and a winch is a very good idea. I have a Ramsey 3000lb winch on mine and I have had my machine stuck (all of the other UTV's will get stuck too). The 3000lb winch would not pull it out with a straight line pull due to the suction of the mud. I had to use a snatch block to free my RTV. I will upgrade my winch in the future and I am looking at the 5000lb. My point is the 1100 is a little heavier so don't skimp on the winch, go with a 4000-5000, straight line pull winch. Sometimes you don't have a handy anchor close and unless you carry extra chains or straps you won't be able to double line to use the snatch block.

All in all I would buy another RTV if something happened to mine. As mentioned before they are not fast and they are heavy but they will outwork a lot of the other UTV's. Underpowered no, they are not a recreational type UTV, but if you want something that is fun and functional you are looking at the right machine.

Have the first one that the dealer got in......the boys there put over 7 hours on it "testing " the ac in the summer. Biggest changes over the years is the removing of the hydro dump knob and integration into the brake pedal, spray in bed liner from factory, painting front bumper going from silver to Kubota Gray and the sliding window availability for the door.
Some things I would put on it are, rear screen, high mount air intake, work lights, diesel fuel water seperator, tail light guards and a KFI winch mount. Sezimik does make a 2 inch rear receiver that replaces the rear hydro guard plate. Have the plastic bed liner as it keeps bed from getting dented by thrown fire wood. Would lean towards the ATV tires, have the work site tires and they gum up with mud and slip quickly around here. Upgraded to a 4000lb Warn winch and it will pull the RTV around kicking and screaming like it was a toy. The KFI mount allows 3000lb, 4000lb, Super Winch and other winch bolt patterns that the Kubota one does not allow.
The RTV is not an ATV and it is slower than a belt drive unit but is more powerful. They do not have model years but they do upgrades on the fly, it is better to find build date to see what changes it has, sounds like it may be older stock or they just did not order the spray in liner and other options. Have a Can Am Outlander 800 and a Polaris RZR S and they all have different uses but the RTV is more work oriented and beats all when the weather gets nasty.

I did buy the RTV1140 two row seating. It is not under powered or if it is I haven't seen it.
Have had it for over a month and still not for sale and I have 4 Kubotas now so probably won't be buying another one.:)
Here is the address to the RTV/ATV section of TBN and my latest post concerning my RTV.

You know I have a semi legitimate excuse for every trade and purchase.:D Remember the good mental health vs rational thinking aspects of ones personality.
I know man has the sin nature at birth and my belief is that after one accepts Christ they then have the God nature but the sin nature is still there until death. These two "natures" battle with each other daily to dominate (Id and ego for Psychology studiers). One fights for doing right and one fights for doing bad. I have both of these. I strive daily for the "good" to become more in my life and the "bad" to shrink.
Well, this is also present in my buying persona. I hunt for the best possible deal and after finding it I either buy or move on to finding another great deal. Problem is sometimes I find an even better deal later and then have to get rid of my good deal and buy the great deal or my self centered persona says "buy it" and wins out over my logical, rational persona. I try to appease these two personalities by researching and then not buying several things I don't need each week to help justify when I do buy something. I tell myself how much I saved that week by not buying then convince myself (some times an easy task and some times hard if there's no bucks in the till) I'm actually losing money if I don't make the purchase that's screaming at me to "BUY ME".:)
Now you understand. I also was raised by parents that were alive through the depression but then I grew up as a teen thru early and then late 60's. Which has me going thru Pat Boone to Woodstock and CCR. A Baby Boomer thru and thru!:D

My minor was in psychology; one class short of a double major and your logic is flawless. We are the same age, so I can sure identify, just can't resist ribbing you from time to time.
