Kubota Repairs

Wow!! Sounds like a strange way to celebrate the Christmas Holliday, bad mouthing other folks equipment quality.
I personally own Kubotas (2), but I don't agree with the thought that all other brands are poor quality. I believe that John Deere, Massey, New Holland and Kubota are premium brands and are very quality built machines.

Now LS, Mahindra, Kioti, Belarus, Long, Bison-I lump them together as possible poor quality.

Merry Christmas!:)

Yes, this unit appears to be poor quality:laughing: bills truck grandma and christy 059.jpgbills truck grandma and christy 058.jpg

Oh, and LS makes New Hollands compacts for them:shocked:
You should really do your homework before opening your Christmas pie hole;)

Merry Christmas:drink:

12 year old B21 - 1 battery, 1 FEL cylinder rebuild (warranty) and the horn button has never worked!

As far as I know, they all come with the horn button but not all come with the horn itself.

I'm replacing the tach cable on my 2002 B21 today (1400 hrs). Replaced all the hoses and water pump to date.

When I bought my first Kubota, it was considered an "off brand", natural progression for many. My brother just bought a Kioti; really nice tractor.

I think there are some upcoming tractor lines that will increase their quality and piece of the action as time goes by.

I'm a little OCD about the little things. Stuff that most buyers of the less common tractors are willing to ignore. Might not have anything to do with the longevity or dependability of the tractor at all. But then again, might be an indicator of the quality control level used in all aspects of the tractor's build.

The other day I was looking at some pictures of a tractor here that was discussing a 3pt stabilizer issue. It was a new tractor. There was rust seeping out from between the center piece and rim piece of the rear wheel, where they were welded together. That would really bug me. Does it mean that tractor is a piece of junk and that's why it can be bought cheaper???? Nope. Just means their quality control is lacking in that area. May or may not have anything to do with their quality control in other areas.....

I'm on my 3rd Kubota, total use at 1700 hrs. Only thing I've had fail was a rear remote coupler. I broke it off when a stick go ahold of the hose and yanked it sideways.

I'm satisfied and content with the money I've spent on these tractors.

Yes, there are alot of good tractors on the market today, I like them all.
Pick your color, price, weight, ergonomics, and features and happy tractoring...over:thumbsup:

I hope you are all right.....I just bought my first Kubota and am hoping it is dependable.

Since we are trying to start a war, LOL, my dealer also sells John Deeres and told me Kubota is A LOT easier to get warranty from. Said he always has to fight with JD?

I got scared of JD's after seeing all the same continuous problems on their compacts listed for the last 4 years, on all these tractor forums. Not saying any brand is better, but I personally am not going to buy anything that has so much negative press. I made that mistake with my Powerstrokes. I thought to myself....they can't be that bad. OMG!! Was I wrong.

I made that mistake with my Powerstrokes. I thought to myself....they can't be that bad. OMG!! Was I wrong.

I was hurriedly shopping for a used truck to replace one lost in a fire and was looking for a Powerstroke. My Sons and the salesman at the local dealership told me they'd wrap me up in a sheet and beat me with a broom stick if I bought a 6.0L or 6.4L Powerstroke. So I took their advice and bought a 7.3L. Haven't regretted that move at all. :)

My 2004 BX24 is nothing but trouble. Everyday when I walk past it in the garage it whines at me to take it outside and play.

Take Care,

Is that what they mean by "HST whine"? :D

I think the chances of getting a dependable tractor from any major brand these days (JD, Kubota, MF, Case, NH, Kioti, LS, Mahindra, etc.) is very, very high. And, conversely, each brand will have a few clunkers and it really sucks when you happen to get one of the clunkers.

I just realized that The Fred hasn't posted in this thread. ;)

It's a darned shame that his thread got shut down. I hope he updates us on his progress somehow.

All brands will have some problems sooner or later.

Just that Kubota has fewer problems than others.

Kubota has done me very well since sometime in the early 80s'.

I've got a Mahindra Dealer in my town. My neighbor bought a new compact tractor there and the transmision blew up. I'm still glad I got Kubotas.
Merry Christmas

If that is a Ford/Ferguson I had a neighbor one time that had one of those. Started it on gasoline and then switched to kerosene after it got hot. He let me drive it one time, very rough ride on hard ground and almost impossible to turn the steering wheel in soft soil.

Had a Case/David Brown for 12 years, good tractor, but not as dependable as the Kubotas...

We bought a well used Case/David Brown 995 many years ago and it is a pretty good old tractor, well except for the weak brakes. We use it almost exclusively for pulling a rotary cutter.

I had a Kubota L3800 for 12 days, it had a bad case of Jerky Hitch so I took it back and bought a Kioti.
