We bought a well used Case/David Brown 995 many years ago and it is a pretty good old tractor, well except for the weak brakes. We use it almost exclusively for pulling a rotary cutter.
They were a good tractor. We put a loader on ours and made it a 'do all'.
Best suited to pull a rotary cutter though.

We had wiring problems, so I completely rewired it. Finally blew a head gasket and traded it on a well used L3750.

I'm going with the Kubota but I have to say I talked to 10-12 different Kubota dealers and in talking with them there is one tractor brand I could tell they were ALL (except for one) nervous about. That brand happens to be Kioti. They didn't seem to care about the other brands I mentioned but when it came to Kioti it was one thing or another. The one dealer that didn't seemed to be bothered by Kioti is the one I ended up buying from not for that reason, he had what I wanted, best price, worked with me on the best prices for extras BEST dealer out of all brands that I've dealt with and seemed to be very honest and second closest dealer. The next best dealer was a Kioti dealer and he didn't care to knock down Kubota.

Had any trouble with your Kioti Murph? Just asking.... The only reason I started this thread was because my battery finally died after 7 years. Have a Merry and healthy Christmas.............

Off the top of my head I can think of 7 within 1.5 hours from my house. I have also called a few dealers out of state. We have at least one or more Kubota, Kioti, JD, NH, MF, LS, Mahindra, Yanmar, KYM, Bobcat, Case dealers within an hour and still manage to live in the country :)

On my 2002 B2710 with 500 hrs, finally had to rebuild my bucket curl cylinders, that has been it.

I have a Kubota, but actually, I'm just glad that I can afford a tractor (of any kind). With the country in the shape that's it's in right now, it's very hard to justify extras. I am slowly learning to work on it myself and so far it has worked well for me. Happy New Year from the Adirondacks to all forum members.

I am a big fan of Kubota and Deere, but I have to say LS, Kioti and Mahindra and making solid moves into the US market. I also have to say I really seldom notice reports of issues with LS. Kioti and Mahindra maybe some, but certainly not what I would call problematic. I would put Massey in that same group, but returning to the market rather than entering it.

Six+ years of running 2700psi hydraulic pressure and finally a blew Hydro hose just last week. Short one on the bucket curl, what a mess. My bad, was trying to pull up some concrete by hooking it backwards with the bucket.

Sorry to laugh at your misfortune, but couldn't help it. Had a vision. Last Summer I broke a hose on my Grapple with it loaded and high in the air at the brush pile. Of course there was a stiff wind in my face. Completely covered me and the tractor with a mist of oil. What a mess is right!!! :)

A year ago I was running our NH cab Backhoe with the rear window open and blew a hose on the boom cylinder. Where it split open was pointed directly at me. Before I could hit the key and kill the machine it had filled the cab with oil. Was dripping from the cab headliner, all the windows and interior were running with oil. Now that's a mess!!!
