How can you tell if you have the HD alternator vs the standard dynamo?

The dynamo is a small diameter ,dark gray thing , the alternator looks like the typical small honda car alternator , silver in color

This gentleman is ADDING lights to his ROPS..he isnt "replacing" anything???????

Most people that install Rops lites use them instead of the stock head lites.
I consider that more of a replacement than an addition.
