Kubota MX5800HST
This past weekend, I moved a bunch of cedar trimmings from a fence line that I had previously cleared by hand. I had approximately 20 piles scattered down a 1/4 mile fence line. It was a pleasure moving them with the MX5800HST / grapple into a concentrated pile to be burned at a later time. This tractor really fit the bill for me. I wanted something with power, but small enough to get into the woods and be somewhat nimble around the barn and house. This was my first time using it, and I was impressed. I put a grapple on our MX5100 and agree 100% with you. Great machine and the right size - not too big but also not too small. Really fits my needs well!
Yours looks great!

Nice pics! Is that a Construction Attachments Compact Grapple?

Glad it's not the Xtreme Duty 1RG.
If it were, having the loader raised that high while transporting a load would probably cause your nose to hit the grass!

Yeah, maybe so. I was a little nervous that the weight of the worx model may be an issue, but still wanted something really stout. I think it's the perfect size for the MX5800HST.

I think I see another advantage to using that grapple- you are pretty far away from any snakes that are in the brush?

It's a nice, strong grapple that you'll never hurt with your large compact(Mega Compact as I've called them in the past), even if you try really hard. It is lighter than the 956 pound Xtreme model but, IMO, it's still a grapple that is better suited for a skid steer or utility tractor because of the 788 pound weight.

Keep us posted when you get a chance to lift some heavy stuff!! You know we all love pics.
