4-WD MX includes the deLuxe TPH with pin adjustable stabilizers and telescoping Lower Links for 2021.

2-WD MX has turnbuckle stabilizers and solid Lower Links for 2021.

The other reason the 2WD model is cheaper is there is no HST option, only gear shift.

OP said that in his first post. Gear drive, 2WD.

My nephew had a MX5100 2wd gear with R1's. It made a fine mowing machine with a 6 ft 3pt bush hog. Old school tough.

If you can get the MX5200 in 2wd nearby, I’d JUMP on that. I got my MX5400 in December and this month it is now $2,000 more on the Kubota “Build” site. You should be able to get a Real Bargain due to it not only being from last years prices, but also a previous model. Go check on that one! ! !

What would be considered a good price?

It is a new 2019 MX5200, 2wd, gear shift, 1 rear remote. No loader. Comes with full warranty.

You can still build the MX5200 on the Kubota build site.

I get $24,155.00 for the suggested list price.

If you can use the 20% Equine discount that would come out to be $19,324.00

That's more than the 2wd MX5400 for $23,571 from the Kubota site, FYI, not including discounts. But perhaps the discounts are better for the MX5200 than the MX5400.

I try to mow in 2wd if vegetation is too high to see obstacles. 4wd will try to crawl up on them, 2wd just spins.

OP, if you ever want to add an unanticipated loader to a 2wd, or a potential buyer needs a loader, the loader takes a fair amount of weight/traction off your only drive axle.

Also, if there is a lot of forward/reversing while mowing, make sure the manual transmission is a shuttle-shift. My first tractor wasn't so it didn't change directions very efficiently.
