Kubota MX5000
Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help us troubleshoot this issue.

We have a Kubota MX5000 with LA852 loader and only 500 hours on it.

We used the loader fine one day and the next it won't lift.

It will lift & tilt very slowly if we rev the engine a lot but can't lift any weight in bucket.

It will lift & tilt quickly with some weight in it if we engage the remote that has been installed by pushing the lever forward. Even with this it cannot lift a full bucket like it used to.

It was low on oil so we filled it up but hasn't made any difference.

We have checked what we understand to be the relief valves under the seat and on the front block and did not see any obvious issue with them - springs seemed fine.

I do have a service manual with Hydraulic circuit and service info if that would help.

Any suggestions on what the issue could be would be greatly appreciated.

Our local dealer doesn't know what it is and want's it in their shop to troubleshoot - they are a long way away and I'd like to avoid that if I can.

Thanks for your help.

Make sure the three point arms are not coming up to high . I have a mx5100 and for some reason when I was moving hay bales the three point was coming up to high .This would make the pump labor hard and the loader would not work right . Let three point down a little and all was find .

Thanks ford farm boy. This was what the dealer first suggested as well and we have tried the 3 pt hitch in various positions with no success.

If you have QD install in the system, recheck them, un-plug and re-plug. If the return to tank is blocked, weird things will happen.

If you have removed or switched hoses for any reason, recheck for proper location.

It's a rod that hooks to the upper lift arms and goes to a lever that goes to the 3pt valve. It was 2 adjusting nuts. On the MX5000 it's on the left side.

I'd check the outlets! Unplug your hoses and connect them again.

Rawkis check the hyd. outlet block there might be a spool with a screw drive slot that you turn it for other hyd attachments. It might of got turned for some reason.

Thanks Leejohn, that was it.

On the front hydraulic block there between two of the connections there was a flat head screw that had somehow got turned. It seems to lock out the flow from the loader - I assume so you can get greater flow to the remotes.

Anyway, we just adjusted it and all is well now.

I really appreciate the support, it was a real puzzler and although it wasted a few hours of troubleshooting, it was a simple fix and saved us an expensive and time consuming trip to the dealer.

This little piece of advice! Just made my day! I have been having the same issue with my Kubota loader and was fearing a much worse scenario. You gotta love just turning a little screw and solving all your problems! Its taken me numerous hours of searching and finally found this tidbit of info. Thank you!!
