Thats a good looking setup Mtnview, I have to say, I like the blue Mahindra, never saw a blue one before

Thanks, to the best of my knowledge, it is the only one. They are even aware of it at Mahindra corporate. One of these days when I get tired of the red on my 3215, I'll paint it also. ;)

My M8540/M9540 manual explicitly says no fluid in the front tires or Duals on the rear but yeah I'd like to see pictures as well.

I've always wondered why they say not to load the front tires can only assume this is for ride at transport speed

All 4 of my tires are loaded on both my 3215HST and the 7520. Tractors ride waaaay better IMO along with far better performance. ;)

I doubt if you will find an aftermarket front weight bracket for your Kubota. In this case, it is probably worth it to bite the bullet and make the trip to your dealer to pick up an OEM bracket, especially if you also need to buy compatable weights, as shipping is usually cost prohibitibe for such.

I too mow steep ground using multiple tractor/fully-mounted mower combinations and use cast iron weights on all set ups. When mowing, I NEVER load tires for multiple reasons and always remove FELs for improved visibility and maneuverability when mowing. Weights are easily installed/removed as need be.

I found a nice looking weight bracket on everythingattachment.com but like you said I'm not sure how much shipping will be.

If you buy the weights, it might be free? I don't think that it would cost you anything to call on Monday and check it out. You don't know if you don't ask. ;)

I sure thought I read in my M7040 operators manual that dual rear wheels weren't recommended.

Dual wheels are not recommended nor is ballast in front tires as shown in the owner's manual.

I have the same info that you have, I'm well aware of what the manual says, my dealer put the dual eye rings on the cast iron centers of my wheels when I bought and he told me that the cast centers are designed to handle dual tires

Lonestar Weights & Castings

Try this place. shipping is free to your state if you buy over 1000 pounds.
I just bought 1284 pounds of rear weight for two tractors.

OOPS edit.
I just talked to them.
they don't have a bracket for the front of the tractor but they have the weights that will fit the Kubota tractors factory bracket.

Here's a website that sells weights for the M Kubotas but they don't list a bracket. Might call them about it though.

Lonestar Wheel Weights

I built a weight bracket for the front of my M9540 and can carry 650lbs of weights. I never brush cut with the loader on. Too much bulk.

Here's some pics of my bracket and weights. The weights are from a White tractor. Yes,,,,,, I've painted the weights since I took these pics.... ;)

That looks really good, i bet that 9540 is a brute, I may try to fab up a bracket and buy some used weights locally if I can find some

Yeah, it's way more tractor than I deserve.

Around here you can buy suitcase weights at farm auctions for 30-50 cents a pound. You get the cheapest ones by buying models that no one has. Try to buy John Deere weights and the price goes up dramatically. New weights are at least $1 per pound.

I started with an L3240.
I posted here how I always fed her the best fuel and oils hoping that someday she would grow into an L5740.
Well it worked. I traded up to an L5740.
I'm feeding my L5740 the same best fuels and oil hoping she will grow into an M9540.
I've found one but its a cab tractor. I can't use a cab tractor about 80% of the time.
Now that the M9540 has been replaced with the M9960 there are still a few M9540's available for a pretty good price.
I'm looking...
I want one
I can't sleep
wifey is mad

That's the weight bracket I was looking at, I called everything attachments today and talked to Travis, shipping will be about 40.00 to my door, I ordered the bracket but did not get free shipping unless you order 1000lbs of weights.

Allen, I don't care who you are,,,, that's funny!!! Heheheheheheh.

I started with a B2910, then L4400 and now M9540. I'm like you, I can't use a cab tractor. I thought finding an open station M9540 would be a piece of cake because no one wants them. I was wrong. The problem is no one stocks them because everyone buys that size tractor with cab. The dealer I bought from is 400 miles from me. He sold 26 M8540/9540 tractors in 2012. Mine was the only open station. It was the closest one I could find at the time.

Good luck on the feeding program and with the Wifey. :)

Open stations must be more popular in Michigan. 2 of the 3 dealers i visited had both m8540 and m9540 open stations as well as cab models in stock when i bought mine in December 2011. The 3rd had nothing bigger than a m7040 he does not stock larger models usualy.
I could not use a cab either at least 50% of the time

Dave, I would have never guessed that. Being North I'd have thought open station was rare. The users up there must work in confined spaces or timber a lot. When I was looking for mine I found several on the East Coast but wasn't willing to drive that far.

Me either but both dealers had a similar number of each type in stock. I work in woods a lot. All of the big tractors are cabs and the guys that hay with them i see have cabs. I would guess that most people of this tractor size have other larger or smaller tractors with cabs For winter work or dusty conditions. Considering we rarely go above 85°f and don't usually have insane humidity AC is not really needed. Most guys just have canopies installed. From spring on temperatures a usually pretty tolerable.
