Kubota M7040 4WD Utility Tractor
Transmission stopped pulling and hydraulics stopped working. Any ideas or suggestions ?

Check oil level would be first place to start.

Bummer..... Sounds like the pump has failed. But as oldnslo mentioned, start with the easy things.

I call this the K.I.S.S. principle. Keep It Simple Stupid. Talking to myself of course.

Anxious to hear the cause. Sorry for your hassles.

Yeah, already checked the easy things but everything is normal. I'm just hoping I'm overlooking something simple but afraid it will be related to pump or driving gears. Doesn't make any strange noises.

Do you have a Work Shop Manual?

I've got some electronic versions of different models. I'll look to see if I have one for that model tomorrow.

Not familiar with that model Bota but is it shuttle shift vs HST? I would be very surprised if HST and hydraulics would be from same drive. Shuttle shift I could see being a common hydraulic pump drive failure.

Does power steering work or is everything non functional?

Like ovrszd I wish you the best on being something simple.

My 9540 uses a separate. Pump for power steering. Suspect the 7040 does as well.

Pretty sure he's hydraulic shuttle as I am.

Suspect pump because of losing all hydraulics as well as movement.

Have power steering but separate pump for that. It's hyd. shuttle.

Is it possible for you to loosen/disconnect one of the pump discharge lines, start up tractor and verify if the pump is working. Just do this quickly so if pump is working you don't damage it.
