Kubota M Series 3 Point Control Lever Extension

Anyone who has a Kubota 40 series M has probably wished the 3 point control was further forward. When I bought the tractor I removed the right side armrest to make it easier to get to. The control, when in the raise position, is where your elbow is if you are sitting with your arms in a normal position. It is also crowded against the fender and is just plain awkward.

I built an extension that bolts on so it is easier to use now.

I used 11 guage sheet metal and welded it together and put the factory grip on it. I also bent it at a slight angle so it is further from the fender and at a more natural position. I use my 3 point box blade a lot so this was well worth the hour it took to make this.

I like that.
Both to get it in a better position, but also to differentiate it from the draft control when you're busy grabbing levers. My 3 controls are just ahead of the 3pt controls and my right hand can get very busy.

I like that too - can see how that would be much better. My M5640 operators station is set up with the control farther forward and closer to the fender so it is good for me but one thing I didn't like was that I could not see my lift arms when standing on the ground operating the control lever. The rear tire blocked my view. Made it harder to mount and adjust implements. Lots of walking around the tire to take a look. So I put an extension off the linkage that comes out by the 3ph. It's the bar sticking up at a 45 to the right of the remote couplers,
