kubota b7100hst
Bought an 82 b7100 hst to help my chores on the 12 acres we bought so the wife could have her two quarter horses close to her. being my first tractor I'm on a learning curve for everything. The 3 point hitch on the rear was pretty much a couple of chains bolted to the lift arms and to the old welded lower arms. I bought a linkage kit for it to get it set up for a brush mower but the upper lift arms have holes in them about half inch diameter all the cat 1 pins I find have 7/8 threads to hook up to the lift arms I'm wondering if the wrong lift arms are on it or are they just blank castings that I need to bore out? I have a small rotary mower coming and I want to be ready for it when it gets here. Any advise or knowledge of my ignorance would be appreciated.

The pins should be on your implement - brush mower or whatever. Those pins go through holes in your three point lift arms. These holes usually have a kind of large swivel bearing looking thing through which the pins go. A pin drops through the implement pins to hold them to your three point arms. You will need a PTO shaft to drive your mower as well. All this is assuming you're using the three point hitch on the rear of the tractor and not the belly mower.

thank you for your response roadworthy yes the mower or my 3 pt blade has the pins for my lower lift arms but my vertical links also have a swivel bearing at the top and a forked yoke to pin to the lower arms the cat1 pin I need is for the upper short lift arms on the top at either side of my top link these arms are my problem because a cat 1 pins threads will not fit through the small holes in them

Hitch pins are not threaded, that is why they are pins.

The single Category 1 Top Link pin has a diameter of 3/4". Two Category 1 Lower Links have a diameter of 7/8".

The small clips which secure the Top Link and Lower Links pins side-to-side are termed Lynch Pins.

I am sure your problem is solvable but your two posts so far are not clear. Take your time composing and differentiate your problems into separate paragraphs. You can EDIT posts already saved.

Can you post photos?

I think the OP is asking about the connection between the upper lift arms and the side links. I have seen 2 different types of connections. A bolt/pin that connects the side link to the upper lift arm and a U-bracket that goes on each side of the upper lift arm.

The Three Point Hitch has a right Lifting Rod and a left Lifting Rod, which attach to the Lower Links at the lower end. The right Lifting Rod has a mechanism to adjust its length. The left Lifting Rod does not have this adjustment mechanism. The Lifting Rods elevate the Lower Links when you move the hydraulic control lever in the tractor operating station with your right hand.

Good chance you are right.

I'm having trouble figuring out what you have. If you have a Kubota dealer nearby, the parts tech can pull up a diagram of your machine that shows how the parts connect and get you part numbers for the stuff you need to get operational.
