Hi , I have a 2006 BX1500 with an axle , center bolt leak, again ! I have changed the o rings several times. I now have about 740 hours so I'm quite sure I should be changing the center bolt, bushings, nylon washers and o rings but was wondering what others think about replacing the 85-90 w gear oil with a 200 w gear oil or thicker , just Not grease !. Tractor sleeps in a heated garage. The FEL is always on summer & winter with a rear snowblower. Advise would be appreciated .. Thanks for your time. Dana Anderson, northern Maine:confused:

I would be cautious about using to thick of fluid since it might not lubricate / flow properly in the winter. I suspect that 85W-140 would work though.

The fill plug on my Kubota front axle has a "vent system" built into the plug. I clean the plug/venting system every time I check the oil. Its never been plugged but I don't need problems there.
