If you beline line them, I recommend wrapping around the outer edge about a 1/4 inch. I have found that if you leave the seam (edge?) inside the area your trying to protect, it will eventually start to lift/peel. Especially in salty conditions. Looks good though.

Good call. I'll either do that or just bedliner the whole thing then paint the liner. thanks for the advice.

Here's a quick update of the fenders with mud flaps. I think i'll keep them black for now since they match the plow frame and the grille. I wish i could say i was done but im not happy with the vertical travel of the plow so i will probably end up reworking it. I also recessed a bunch of amber led's into the weight box with a strobe module but forgot to take pictures. I'll post some when i get a chance.

Those Plow wings look sweet. Must be a real time saver. What brand of Plow is that?
I've got cab envy.

Its 7.5' Curtis Sno Pro 3000 so with the wings its about 9'4". We actually use Western's on all of the trucks but the mount is much wider than the Curtis and wouldnt fit between the front tires of the tractor without rubbing. My boss had bought an f250 with this plow and had taken it off to replace with a western because it was very worn. So after new wing rubbers, cutting edge, motor, hydraulic lines, end plates, and paint im hoping it'll be good to go.

Hey, farm boy. The L6060 is pretty much working as hoped. Ive been running it on around 10 commercial snow plow accounts that range from churches to apartment complexes to retail stores in a down town area. I'd say overall its around 1.5 times faster than a 3/4 ton pickup. It really shines in tight areas and in places with lots of obstacles like the apartments where there are a few 100 cars to work around at most times. In wide open areas its right around equal to a truck. even on a 6 inch snow it has enough power to roll snow at around 12 mph but thats really at its limit. Traction has never been a problem. I'd say the weak point is the plow. I kept it electric over hydraulic because if it didnt work out i wanted to make sure the plow could just be sold as an unmodified truck plow. Unfortunately the alternator has a hard time keeping up with the plow sometimes and causes the voltage to get low. Its not a deal breaker by any means but just a little annoying. I checked around and the best i could do for the alternator was one thats only 5 amps higher and cost way too much. I may just swap it over to run off the loader hydraulics at some point but its not a big deal. The other problem that ive found with the plow is that since Curtis integrated the hydraulics in to the A frame, they had to sacrifice some of the max lift and tilt. I think if i put a plow on one of these tractors again, it'll probably be something like a Western 8-10 wideout and i'll just modify the plows mounting structure to fit between the front tires. Im really glad i went with a frame mounted plow over a loader mounted plow. keeping the plow as close to the front of the tractor as possible has really kept it stable and controlable. it also rides really nice on the street. At times it could use a little more weight over the front tires but it really not a problem. As for the fenders, they work perfectly. The weight box works great but in hindsight i would have sacrificed a little weight to instead have partitioned off a spot to put a few fuel cans since the tractor only runs about 5-6 hours before i have to call up the guy with the diesel tank to come fill up.

It would add money to the cost but if you use the Kubota subframe (the one used for the front mount snow blower) you would have more than enough strength to lift the plow plus you would get the added benefit of down pressure. I can lift my front wheels off the ground with my snow blower. Comes in nice when you get an inch or so of crusty snow that my 10' plow wants to ride on top of. The way it connects would be very simple for someone who can weld to make up a mount on the plow.

Thats certainly not a bad way to go especially if we decide to get a snow blower at some point. Ive thought otherwise that i can still use the existing mount and replace the lift cylinder and chain with just a cylinder and use the loader float function so it would be basically like a Boss plow. For now, most of my accounts are salted so there arent many issues with packed snow buildup but things always change from year to years and its a good option in the future. Like quite a few of my projects, the plow mount/subframe was just built out of leftover scap that i had on hand so at least i can say it was super cheap.
