Never fails to make me laugh when I hear compact tractors referred to as 4 wheel drive. They aren't. What they really are is 'Front Wheel Assist'.

4wd, FWA, MFWD, AWD.....

Its all semantics. In ALL of them....ALL FOUR wheels have the ability to transmit power to the ground. How much depends on a whole host of other factors.....none of which are whether you call it 4wd or FWA or anything else.

For the record....the major manufactures like kubota and deere even call them 4wd
