Kubota L345dt
I need to change the oil seal where the bevel gear case meets the axle case. I have everything taken apart but I can't get the axle case off so I can change the seal. I found this thread but the discussion is about a slightly newer design. According to the parts diagram for the L345dt there is not a c clip until after the seal I want to replace (#8 in the drawing). Axle Case.jpg So my question is is the seal just seized and do I just need to hit the thing harder or is that c clip further up the shaft what is keeping the bevel gear case on? And if so How do I get that c clip of with that bearing and oil seal in the way.

To the forum Adam. You came to the right place to get answers.

I do not know anything about that model so I can't help but there a lot of members on here who do and I am sure one of them will be able to.

I haven't actually done this on any of my L345/L355 machines, but a page from the L355 WSM shows how to do it. The bevel gear case/axle case has to be removed from the tractor.

To separate the bevel case from the axle case, circlip 7 can stay in place, but gear shaft 5 has to be tapped up a little so split collar 3 can be taken out. Then the shaft 5 can be tapped down with 8, 9 & 10. Good luck, Dick B

Thanks for the tip and the picture! I was wondering if I needed to take the whole thing off. It is good to have confirmation.:cool2: Wish me luck!
