Kubota L3400 Seat Belt Buckle

Hi I bought a used L3400 and the seatbelt buckle that has the red release does not work. I sprayed penetrating oil but it still is in rough shape. I priced the part and it is over $200 dollars. Does anyone know of a quick fix or where I can purchase one.

You could just replace both ends with aftermarket. You also may want to try blowing compressed air into the buckle, or run a piece of wire through it... My mowers get dust and grass packed in the buckle, and eventually they stop buckling.

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

The seat-belt buckle on tractors is the same as for the automotive industry = cheaper by volume of production. It serves the purpose for an initial 'incident'. I would recommend getting a latch type buckle (older style or aeroplane style).

The reason for this is that, in a roll-over incident, the button release is difficult to engage due to the weight and, therefore, pressure of the operator. A latch style is easier to release, in this scenario, by the operator... who is typically alone when an incident occurs.
