kubota L3400 HST Wont Start

Tractor Turns over Will Not Start.Keeps Blowing 5amp Fuse.Any Ideas? Thank You. number 5 fuse.

Which fuse is blowing would help diagnosis. Possible a shorted out or bad glow plug?

You seem to have the problem narrowed down. Check the glow plugs snd any involved relay. Check the wiring for inward migration of mice. 'Tis the season.

You could unplug the glow plugs and see if that keeps the fuse from blowing. That would tell you if the problem is glow plug related or the stop solenoid.

Well since the glow plugs will draw about 20 amps each so about 60 amps, I don't think there is any reason to check the glow plugs because a 5 amp fuse is blowing. However the fuel stop solenoid would bear looking in to ..

What about the glow plug control circuit? That should not pull over 5 amps.

I would try to find the fuel solenoid and unplug it. Then see if the fuss blows. I think there could be a relay that's also a part of that circuit but it's most likely not too easy to get at. At least on my Kubota you have to pull part of the dash to get at them. Chances are you will need to get to the relays. If not a mouse or shorted wire a relay probably burnt up and is drawing too much current. The good news (at least on my Kubota) is they are just generic relays you can buy almost anywhere. The shape may be different but as long as the terminals on the bottom at the same it'll work just fine. I used a 30 amp relay for fog lights for a car when my glow plug relay died. I might of had to cut one off (the one that's connected when the relay doesn't have power).
