Any ideas. Last time I used it, it moved great. Now let clutch out and it barely goes in forward or reverse. The lever is in "rabbit" position so it isnt that. Why would it do this all of a sudden, am I missing someting. It really has been a great old rust bucket. Any ideas besides buying a new one. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Kinda sounds like clutch trouble, does the PTO work?
What kind of tranny does it have?

If the PTO does work, what might that tell?

Most 2550's were standard gear drive with a double clutch, if the pto is working it kinda leans towards trouble with the drive clutch disc. Might be well worth picking up a shop manual
and do some reading.
