kubota L1 24dt
My re-born Kubota overheats after 30 minutes to 1 hour. Radiator and screen clogging from fine trash collected from slashing seems to be the culprit.

Difficult to get the screen out and blow out the radiator due to the confined spaces.

Any short cuts for this problem to prevent recurrance? What should I do now apart from pulling out the radiator and giving it a good cleanout to make sure there are no other problems eg water pump, thermostat etc.?

My 295 DT had the problem. After seeing what the golf club does with their equipment, I tried it and it works quite well. I use a hose to wash out the screen and radiator fins. Good luck. bob m

thanks Bob, I hadn't heard of the hose option.Did you hose from the front towards the motor or hose towards the front?

Any drama's with the electronics as a result?

It might save me from pulling the radiator out with any luck.

No problem with electronics. I spray from the engine out through the radiator, then do the screen from the side and both faces. I like the way a can spray out the accumulation at the bottom of the screen. I used to try and vacuum it. One of the greenskeeper guys gave me the tip. Good luck.

thanks again for your advice, only 1 question.....how do you get the hose into the cramped space behind the radiator and around the shroud that holds the slide out trash screen? There's a heap of dead ground in the corners between the shroud and the radiator itself that would be hard to get at with the hose.

I reckon I might still need to pull the radiator out and take the shroud/screen assembly off to give it a good flush out with the hose.

I have a 295 DT and there is enough room to hose it down pretty well. Once a year I take out the screen in fron of the radiator and then hose it down. I don't have to take out the radiator. Good luck. bob
