Kubota frequent belt replacement

Lightly used Kubota L3540HSTC (327 hours in ten years) has needed AC and fan belts replaced every 20 hours in last 40 hour engine time. Any ideas why this is happening?

Probably from dry rot. Your tractor is sitting a lot. Is it housed in a controlled environment?

are they tensioned correctly, are they the correct size, time to look at whatever pulley both belts run on, you should get several hundred hours out of an engine belt.

One of the pulleys is either crooked or dented. You need to examine every one of them.

Does it use the "cogged" v belts? I find the roots of the cogs crack and then the cogs start chunking out.

Replace with a standard fabric wrapped non cogged belt of the same size.​

The only reason for the cogged variety is to accommodate very small dia pulleys.

Are you using belts from kubota, or a parts store? there may be a slight difference in size.

And to add, there are belts intended for various use. Buy good belts. Cheaper is never better.
