Anyone using a FL127 tiller on a BX2230. Its a 50" model and I'm trying to see how its going to work if you have to till a trail about two miles long. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you are looking at a Kubota FL1271 tiller then I think that is too large for the BX tractors. The B40C is a good tiller for the BX series tractors. Hope this helps.

Hi Matt,

My Muratori 37" on the BX2200 does very well on hard adobe clay in summer. This being the case, I'd think a bigger unit would do alright in a soil that is not as hard as mine. I remember older posts where folks talked about using tillers considerably bigger than mine on a BX with no problems. You might want to search the archives.

Most BXs (except 1500) are about 42" wide. For a lot of applications you might want something that's either wider than that, or if narrower than 42"-offset to one side. Otherwise, if 'tilling a field, it can be difficult or impossible to 'till the field without re-compacting portions with the tires.
Good luck with this.

BTW-I never heard back from you re. the exact measurement on your 3ph mid-height max. spread with the bh sub-frame in place. I'd appreaciate that measurement greatly.
