Kubota engine difficult to turn over when cold (not battery)

Well when the temp here was -19 my truck
would not start. Removed the battery cables
tested batteries 10.8 volts but the cables needed
cleaning doing a trickle charge then will clean
the cables. I don't drive the truck 03 2500 diesel
but every 7 or 8 months should sell it so I don't
mess with anything as long as it starts. I wonder
is the stuff that is put on electrical connections
would keep the terminals clean???? Many
many years ago I can't remember what we used
so you would not have to clean the cables always
good to go.

Williy, I use NO-OX ID as was recommended by Kuoa and it's worked absolutely fine on my battery cables and posts. Wasn't very expensive, got it from amazon, and works well.

It was mentioned previously that summer heat kills batteries. Be that as it may, a bit of heat to the battery in winter cold boosts it maximum deliverable current. The OP states it seems to crank better, the longer the glow plugs are applied. I suspect this is because the battery undergoes internal heating from supplying a goodly amount of current to the glow plugs. On top of which, cold batteries will not go to full charge from the engine charge circuit. Try a battery blanket, they make a world of difference.
