Rusty, it's out of warranty....but, of course, I don't desire "issues" either.
I have put a switch to run the cooling fan if needed. The "temp sensor" had apparently failed and was not turning the fan on. There are a dozen sensors so I just wired a switch and I watch it. Fan cools it within 2 minutes.
Increasing the diesel flow should not damage the engine, diesel is a lubricant as opposed to gasoline. It might "smoke" more than the EPA wants but if it allows the machine to climb my hill greater than 8MPH I'd be grateful.

He probably turned up the injector pump to go up a bit past 25Hp......closer to 30+ would be my guess?
What and where is this injector pump? Do you know HOW it is adjusted? I'll be glad to do "quarter turn" adjustments to get a tad more hill climbing. I'm not looking for speed....I rarely go over 15 or so thru my trails or level road but 8 on the hills is frustrating.

Another in the "climbing hill power" search. I talkede to the diesel mechanic at Kubota Lexington (Va). He said to leave the fuel controller alone and INCREASE the Hydrostatic drive pressure.....hmmm.
I researched this on good ole Google and it says that it WILL add torque and response BUT can cause overheating, leaks and engine stalling.
Anyone have any experience in this?
My 1100D runs great, no problems except slowing to 8-9 on my two steep hills. Add firewood and another guy and we're talking 7MPH.

There is also a throttle kit that can be added so throttle can be increased without tromping down on the pedal…

The standard pedal setup modulates both the hydro and throttle from the foot pedal.

Unlike a car, tromping down on the pedal will actually give you less speed/power on steep ascents.

A test I did was a grade I could not climb with pedal to the metal but able to negotiate with a partial throttle which is counter intuitive for those not familiar with hydro.

The hand throttle kit has been discussed at length on previous threads years back.

I have an older RTV 900 and understanding theory of operation helped me.

Thanks Ultra, I was told that last year and that's how I even get 8MPH....to the floor gets about 5MPH😟

You may be a good candidate for the hand throttle or maybe the foot throttle linkage can be tweaked to provide more engine rpm sooner in the pedal travel arc?

Rusty,
It's been a long time, I had other, more pressing, issues. But..the issue still remains. 7-9 MPH up a hill.
I talked to a Kubota Mech and it was suggested that fuel is not the answer but INCREASING the hydrostatic pressure would help.
This from a Kubota Mechanic....will this cause other problems, overheating, leaks and things that I can't even envision???
