Rusty, it's out of warranty....but, of course, I don't desire "issues" either.
I have put a switch to run the cooling fan if needed. The "temp sensor" had apparently failed and was not turning the fan on. There are a dozen sensors so I just wired a switch and I watch it. Fan cools it within 2 minutes.
Increasing the diesel flow should not damage the engine, diesel is a lubricant as opposed to gasoline. It might "smoke" more than the EPA wants but if it allows the machine to climb my hill greater than 8MPH I'd be grateful.
