BX2200
I have 9 hours on a BX2200. It has been to dealer 3 times. The first time, the small diesel tank under the left frame was leaking. The dealer replaced the tank with a repaired tank and advised this has been a common problem. The second problem was a UDT leak around the front end loader valve installed by dealer. It was repaired with teflon tape on the fittings going into the valve block. The third problem still being worked on is the loss of power. The tractor will lose power and either go dead or almost go dead. This happened about 6 times in 45 minutes of mowing. The engine would catch back up after shuttering and shaking. It might run 5 minutes and do it again. This appears to be a fuel problem but no solution yet. Anyone with these problems, please respond. Thank you.

I HAVE ALMOST 100 HOURS ON MY BX2200 AND FORTUNATLEY I HAVE NOT HAD ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS.MY MOST SERIOUS PROBLEM WAS A UDDT LEAK AT BOTH FEL LIFT CYLINDERS.I HOPE THAT THE DEALER CAN REMEDY THESE PROBLEMS FOR YOU AND YOU CAN ENJOY YOUR MACHINE AS IS HAVE.

I have the BX1800 which is close enough to the 2200, I have 32 hours on it without a glitch (Crossing fingers). I have read about people having fuel tank leaks and the fittings that are installed for loaders and other hyd. impliments have been known to leak. I think Kubota had such a large demand, and was in such a rush to market this tractor they may have over looked some things. Your power problem sure sounds like a fuel problem, will be interested in reading what it was when you get it fixed. The only thing that I don't care for on my BX is the hood, if you don't shut it quite right it will pop open either when the engine starts of shuts down, this is because the engine seems to give a couple shakes when you start it or shut it down.

Make sure fuel tank is getting "make-up" air. Either the cap has a vent or,more likely a plastic tube comes off the top of the tank, winds around and goes down vertically. On a JD F725 I have this tube was too long and pinched shut between the frame and gas tank. Cracking the gas cap open would be a test to see if this cures it.

Thanks for your input. The dealer called today, seems they found water in fuel (not sure of source). The dealer put all the fuel in so far except for about 4 gals. I store fuel in plastic 5 gal. containers and usually do not keep more than 10 gals on hand. I have another diesel tractor that uses the same fuel supply and there is not a problem with it. The dealer did advise the small plastic tank inside left frame is leaking again. This has already been replaced once so apparently the "fix" applied to these tanks is not doing very well. I live 60 miles from my dealer so the trips taking the tractor back are about to get old. If problems persist, I probably will ask dealer to pick the tractor up and return it after repair as long as the warranty applies.
