Lifting the mower off the trailer.



Chain sling is fastened to a 5000lb capacity D-ring bolted to the center inside of the bucket. Nuts can be seen at the top of the center cylinder mounting pad in the enlargement below. The chain going over the bucket edge is 3/8 grade 70, so I don't think the BX will stress it too much. I think I will slit a pipe to go over the edge to protect a sling or rope.

I use two D rings on the center line outside the bucket, one above and one below the curl cylinder. Drilling and broaching those 1/2" holes for carriage bolts was a "B". Chose this over chain hooks on the corners as I readily saw how the FEL distorts if the load is not on the centerline.

don't think you have to worry about your bucket cutting a sling unless you've got it ground to a razor edge

The edge won't cut through a sling like a hot knife through butter, but if there's a burr on the edge and the load swings at all the sling will be damaged. My edge has plenty of rough spots / burrs.
