kubota B7510
so I've just joined this website in an effort to get the right info so I can properly change the transmission oil in my B7510. I've done a ton of reading online. My manual and website info says that the capacity is 15.3 litres. After carefully following instructions on Messicks (best i could find) I can only drain 10.7 litres from it. What am I missing? I removed a plug from the front transmission case, a plug from near the mid PTO and a plug off of each side of the rear axle. I removed both filters and the screen. Don't want to refill it with having left old oil in it.

Good luck in draining out every hose & cylinder as that's a near impossible task. Just drain all you can out of the transmission housing (sounds like you already have) then refill. A little leftover wont hurt unless it's really contaminated. If it's that contaminated you need to refill, run it a bit, the drain & refill it again. Unless it looks like a milkshake or had something blow up inside it's not going to be that contaminated.

thanks so much for the quick response. I will finish off the job and keep close attention to replacing the same amount as I took out.

for those coming behind me...the screen 26mm nut and filters were tightened at the factory by a gorilla. I had to use extensions on the wrench. Don't use anything but a 26mm socket on the screen nut head. Messicks website was useful as was this.
