Kubota B2920 won't start

My tractor started making a short grinding noise when I started it, got worse throughout the day as I stopped and started to the point of a click, grind and a quarter turn, now when I turn on the ignition I get nothing, will not start. Anyone have some insight?

Sounds like a battery charge issue. A low voltage reaching the starter solonoid or starter motor would cause a clicking sound or grinding sound. If the alternator is charging it could be a poor battery connection or poor connection where the negative lead from the battery connects to the engine block. Battery voltage should read 12+vdc and around 14vdc with engine running.

I think the battery is the right place to start. If you're not sure how to do it many auto supply stores will load check it for you if you take it in to them.
