Kubota B-7100 running hot

My cousin has a Kubota B-7100 and it is running hot. He wanted me to check with the brain trust to see what we could come up with. He has taken the radiator off and flushed the engine with water and it runs clear. Put everything back together and let it run for a few minutes and part of the radiator is piping hot and the other part is cold. He's guessing the radiator is stopped up, but since a new one costs about $600, the question is how to get it upstopped?

Previous posts on this and other forums say this is a common problem with the 7100 as it is a thermo-siphon system and doesn't have a water pump to circulate coolant. It is critical to keep radiator clean externally to help prevent overheating. I just purchased one of these tractors and found the radiator to be in marginal condition. I took it off and took it to a radiator shop to be boiled out and pressure tested and repaired if needed. I haven't picked it up yet but am only expecting a bill of less than $100. A radiator has to be significantly damaged to have to be replaced. Any reputable radiator shop should be able to help you out.

If you suspect the rad a radiator shop [ as mentioned ] should be able to help.

Make sure the cap is in good shape.

Just picked up my radiator-cleaned, 2 leaks repaired and repainted. Total damages $60.00 plus tax

We have found a build up of sand and other mineral deposits inside engine casting. they did not cone out when flushing radiator. Look for a drain cock or plug on side of engine under injection pump. remove and flush with water.
