KUBOTA L3940HST BACKHOE
MY back hoe is not used often. I hitched it up to do a bit a digging and the male from tractor to Backhoe is leaking when connected and running the hoe. It runs the hoe but leaves a puddle after 5 minutes. It does not leak out at all driving or parked over night with hoe down. I called dealer and they said cupler was 56 for just the female side. Is there a gasket kit or other way to fix this. There is only 50 hours on back hoe and 660 on tractor 2008. I would think with it being stored inside it would not have this problem. Any help would be great. Thanks Mark.

I don't know of any gasket kit, usually you would just replace an end. However, I bet there is just some debris keeping it from sealing properly. If the couplers are standard ag, did you check the female side for debris? Has the coupler set properly seated? Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting a few times? Is your fluid clean? If so, the coupler is in pure oil, no way they should fail.

Hydraulic leaks are always a problem and the female couplings are the largest reason for leaks second being swivels. There is an initial o-ring that might be the issue and well worth a try although it will need to be matched up as it is not normally listed separate.

Tractor Supply stores have a good selection of hydraulic hose couplers at reasonable prices. I got a replacement pair for one of the hoses for the loader on my L3830. Just have to pick the right one. I took my old one in to make sure.

I have fixed many of these on my BX2230....You can get the O-rings at any Hardware store just take in the old one and match it up.
