Chipper KPX vs Jinma Chipper

I've decided to bite the bullet and look at buying a 6" pwr feed chipper. I have read a lot of comments in regard to the Jimna, but nothing about the KPX unit.

The reason I am looking at the KPX is that they have a distrubution center here in Phoenix, and wouldn't have a shipping charge.

The price at Affordable is $1600 plus shipping (about $450) and the KPX here for $1900, so there is really not much difference in price.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what difference there might be between the two of them and any issues.

I have a GL3130, so I don't think there would be a powere issue for the 4" mesquite I would be chipping (anything larger goes into my wood pile).

If the consensus is toward the Jimna, does anyone know who sells them here in Arizona.

I can't help you with comments on the KPX. The Jinma is very well built, works well and has wide distribution and is easy to service. (bolt heads exposed, can use american parts from NAPA, etc) The finishing details are economy Chinese. Don't buy one if you expect polished smooth welds.

Affordable is an honest and straightforward place to do business over the phone. You can eventually get replacement blades from them or another Jinma dealer. You can buy your belts almost anywhere.

Ongoing maintenance will be grease, a couple belts and new blades every few years???

If you order one, I can offer some assembly advice that will save you time. The instruction sheet does not offer some practical tips on assembly.
