I have seen (and reported) several messages this morning that are in Korean. "Baccarat" shows up in the two messages that I submitted to Google Translate, so I guess they are spam for gambling websites.

I think this guy is the perpetrator.;)

Taking care of it. Please continue to report using the little triangle with the exclamation point in the lower left. That's the best way for the mods to see it all.

Thanks!

Yeah, they appear to have some program that posts a bazillion posts automatically once they get an account activated. Those several hundred posts were by only a handful of accounts. No way its a human. Anyhow, report them with the Report Post triangle if you see them and the moderators will deal with them as soon as possible. Thanks.

I realize the mods do their best to clean up, it's just not right that they should have to in the first place... I wish the offending spam posters would simply stop... find some other more honorable way to spend their time. If it's their job, find a better job... I can hear them over beers after their shift... "I love my job, I get to pi$$ off people I'll never meet!"

Ok... I'm done now...

Mods, keep up the good work. Thanks for what you do.

I don't know how it applies to spam on a message board, but a long time ago I read an interview with an e-mail spammer that got caught down in Florida. He said something like for every 250,000 emails he sent out, if only one person clicked on a link, he broke even. If two clicked on a link, he made a profit. So somewhere, somehow, there's a profit in it for someone (be it cash for clicks or identity theft) or it wouldn't be happening.

When there is 33 pages of post in today's posts....and it's only 8:30am...it ain't good

I'm showing 3,400 and counting. It seems to be going up about 15 to 20 per hour for me.

Today's posts back down to two pages.......thats more like it

Got a final tally on just how many spam posts there was this morning?

Googling a few of the texts indicates that there are dozens and dozens of forums and websites that are being corrupted by the same 'people'. I say flood them back.

Not sure, I know that removed more than 3000. I would guess 4000-5000 last night.
