Kohler Kehein Carb Cap

I mistakenly tapped out the cap on my carb today ... thinking there was an
Idle needle adjustment behind it, but it was a jet, and now gas is leaking from it.
I went online and it appears this cap is not available.... anyone have any ideas ?
There doesn't seem to be much pressure at this point so I loaded a gas sealer in the hole for a possible temp fix.
You'd think this 10 cent cap would be available somewhere ....
other than buying a new carb !

Oddly enough.... the parts diagrams show the idle needle and not the cap
I have.... may have been an odd model Keihin.

Welch plugs for Keihin carbs are impossible to find. I've searched several times for them. Harley Davidson uses Keihin carbs and sometimes you can find the right size from a dealer if they're willing to look for you but I normally just end up making one and sealing it in.

So ..there ya go...they don't make a 10 cent replacement plug ?
Wow... I really got myself in deep on this one.... any thoughts ?

They make the plugs but finding someone to sell you 1 piece is nearly impossible. M.D. Hubbard Spring Company - Hubbard (Welch Type) Expansion Plugs - Metric Sizes to DIN 470

One step forward 3 steps backward.....
found plug hiding under carb..... but not a plug at all...but a brass ball.
put a dab of sealer on it , and tapped it back in place.
But here's the problem...which I will post in new thread.
Engine is running super rich... what's up with this **** thing ?
