KL130 loader removal

Try this, do not put your storage legs down and put the valve in float. See if the bad pin well just turn but do not pull. If it doesn't try putting alittle down
pressure on it see if it turns, if not start lifting the bucket up real slow while trying to turn the pin. If at any step you can turn the pin just keep turning and that might get the paint off. If you couldn't turn it in any of the steps, its paint at the bottom anchor pin making the loader arm hole up higher then it should be.
Don't know how the loaders are shipped in, but if that part of the loader was put on 1st then the arms it could put a twist in it if the holes were off alittle.
Other then that, do like the other guys are saying (run it).
P.S. at no time pull any pins without storage legs down!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST TURN...

Yesterday I got a piece of 1/2" plate behind the pin and a big clamp on either side and applied a whack of pressure. I tapped the plate back and forth with a hammer and wood block and it let go with a jerk.

"Aha, I've got it", I thought.

But I was wrong. I got the back of the pin flush with the mounting plate, but even then I couldn't turn it (despite moving the loader into various positions with and without weight in different positions in the bucket).

So I tapped it back in again and left things as they were. The opposite pin was installed the whole time I was doing this.

The mounting bracket did seem to spread a bit as the pin moved.

I'm going to use it a bit more and try again.

It really would be nice to get the loader easily removable for mowing...

Not that the loader should be a pain to remove....but don't you have one of the new KL130 loaders with the quick attach or am I confused (again). If so then just remove the bucket to mow. I have a KL401 and I just remove the bucket/grapple whatever when I am mowing.

put a 2x4 under one or the other ends of the bucket and press down before trying to remove?

go up against a tree with one or the other sides of the bucket before trying removal?

Using shop rags to protect the paint, use a c-clamp between the loader mount bracket and the Front Loader upright. You want to put the clamp on the unpright and the bracket to move the inside end of the pin towards the back of the tractor. There are some cases that when the loaders are new, any mis-alignment of the loader position makes the pin removal tough. If you use the c-clamp to "squeeze" the front loader upright into the bracket on the side towards the tractor, you will free up the pin.

Tough to explain, but moving the upright into the bracket on the inside (closest to the hood) aligns the pin. The c-clamp will be between the loader and the hood. It should slide right out.

Doesn't happen very often, and probably won't be bound up the next time you remove the loader. The pin is bound on the edge of the hole on the tractor side of the bracket. It's more of an unforturnate combination of events (new loader, slight misaligment of the loader, manufacturing burr in the hole) that causes the problem.

The loader upright is slightly out of alignment with the bracket holes. Using the clamp as we described should line up the holes and release the pin.

You probably won't have this issue after a couple hours of use.

So, in case anyone was curious...

I put a bunch of hours on my loader - clearing windfall out of my bush - and still could not get the loader off. The pin had loosened to the point where I could just swivel it in the hole, but it wasn't easy.

I finally gave up and asked the dealer to have a look at it when he dropped off my mower yesterday (6' rear discharge Douglas RFM). After much cursing we got the pin out, and had to drill out the hole. His guess was that things had gone out of alignment when the mounts were welded, and that the out-of-alignment side had been hooked up to the tractor first, and thus was not noticed when the loader was mounted. He drilled a lot of material out of the hole.

And last night I took the loader off to mow.

Glad to hear you resolved the issue, sounds like a real pain in the butt of effort for something that was factory error. For future reference if you run into something like what happened with the loader while its new I suggest calling it to your dealer's attention early on. That is what you paid for when you bought a new tractor- the warranty covers all defects in materials and workmanship, etc. So, though unlikely you will encounter something like this again don't hesitate to involve your selling dealer- they will take care of you as part of their commitment to your satisfaction- and you'll probably save a lot of time that can be put to better use using the tractor....
