I was actually just trying to stir things up a bit and you guys sure came after me. Well done. I have little Yanmar tiller that works pretty well so far. I just tilled about 2 acres last summer and my garden annualy. So it may never wear out. But if it did, I'd probably get a KK. I like saving money also. And now that I've gotten hammered by lots of testimonials, I'd feel even better about it. So, everyone relax. Just a little prodding, not a spear. bw )</font>

Fact is I'm a huge UNC fan and just was in a good mood to have some fun. Never any offense taken of course. If it weren't for guys like you, I'd be flying in the dark with my tractor. I never had one before but finally retired from the Marine Corps last summer and got 4 acres in SC. Loving it, big yard and garden.

Actually, I think its a great tiller so far, as long as my 20 PTO horsepower tractor doesn't get overworked too much. Now I have this big job to do, I have the tiller, its dry enough. But, its not time yet - Roundup has to finish killing the vegetation and the ground has to warm up for the bermuda seed. Of course by the time that happens it will probably be raining again /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Baylor shocked some folks for sure, but the Indiana comment is a tough one. I know May possesed some skills coming from high school but it too the "winning tradition" of UNC to bring out his abilities. Also, I went to IU, Bloomington , for under grad and masters. Man I was the only guy on the entire campus pulling for UNC when IU beat them in the finals. I wore my UNC sweatshirt the next day. Couldn't have done that if they'd won. bw

It's all in fun. May was a force to be reckoned with, and UNC deserves a pat on the back for a job well done this year.

Brett, I went to NC State but back to tillers. I have a Yanmar tiller also. The serial number plate says made in USA. I have been looking for new tines a LONG time. Do you have a parts source? It's a 48" model 1218. I suspect made by another company in USA.

that is a question for the Yanmar section of this site. Those guys have all the answers on that stuff. You can always have some made but it be costly. Any chance another brand, ie, KK would fit or could be modified?
