kiotiCK3510 regeneration problems

I started mine at about 40 hours and noticed it running a bit rough at idle (it was also 10 F). After about 10 minutes of operation the regen light came on and I noticed a slight more engine noise and a slight loss of power. I was running PTO rpm with my front 65" snowblower and working it well. I did not stop working and after about 15 minutes the regen light went off, the engine noise lowered, and the power picked back up. Seemed to be no issue at all.

Mine just did its first regen and I noticed it sounded weird. Glad to see this is normal

The regen is no mystery gentlemen, light comes on, keep working and make sure to have the RPM above 1,700 IIRC. after 15 mins or so, the cycle is gone, no reason to have to park it. The switch is to stop the regen for what ever reason, why would you want to? My CK4010 usually gives a few puffs of white smoke out of the exhaust pipe and engine sounds weird and light comes on. I do notice it sucks up diesel during a regen cycle.
Salesman told me not to baby this tractor, to really work it and would keep it from going into regen as much..Also I noticed when I fuel up with Walmart Diesel, I hardly go through a regen. I averaged a rengen every 25 hours or so, and haven’t rengen in over 75 hours ever since I went with Walmart diesel.

The button to stop the regen is there for when you're doing tractor work on an environments that can easily be set on fire, like baling hay, mowing dry brush, etc.

That's pretty interesting. I would love to see the difference between your Walmart diesel and another station's that caused more frequent regens. Any idea where Walmart gets their diesel from in your area?

If I don’t use Walmart diesel, I usually use Valero (Stripes) diesel. I have no idea where Walmart gets their diesel from and the diesel formulation will vary from Walmart to Walmart...Im lucky though I figured out to use diesel from my local Walmart 👍🏻

The lower the sulphur is in the fuel, the less regenerations will have to be done. Most new vehicles with a DPF system has a sticker that says to use low sulphur fuel, which is much cleaner burning.
