Kioti Warranty Issues and Payments

I would be greatly surprised to see anyone working as a mechanic at a tractor dealership making 80k to start. My dealer sells multiple lines of tractors, trailers and attachments. They are super busy. Everytime I have been there people are waiting to talk to somebody about a tractor or waiting to pick their new one up.

And thatç—´ why the large, established old name companies, be it car companies, heavy truck companies, or ag equipment companies have been methodically eliminating the old mom and pop dealerships. Those small dealerships are mostly underfinanced and simply lack the resources and technology to service modern equipment.

The business model is evolving towards large franchises with multiple sales and service points. Some of the smaller imported lines don稚 have the sales volume to support that, so they are stuck with unqualified service departments.

There are still business models that work very well for entrepreneurs, and smaller service industry businesses, to thrive and provide the type of service you may not be able to get at a larger dealership. The American dream can still work, it has changed, but it still works very well.

I have dealership service Dept experience going back over 20 years at three dealerships with the following manufacturers at one time or another; New Holland, Kubota, Kioti, Mahindra, Gehl and several dozen short line manufacturers. I have absolutely never heard of such a thing. Matter of fact, your dealer should have sought preapproval for that warranty repair from Kioti. Had that happened there would be little or no question about their reimbursement.

I guess the problem with pre-approval is that you need to have some kind of idea as to what the problem is to begin with. According to what I was told nobody had any idea of what was causing my re-occurring failed regeneration problem.

So far I have not heard a thing from the dealer. I will be calling them at the end of the month to see what is going on. That will make it just over 2 months since I picked up my tractor. So far it is still running fine.

Preapproval requires full diagnosis and documentation. In the case of a warranty engine replacement, partial tear down and photo submission would be part of the pre approval process.

I'm about to get in touch with a local Kioti dealer (not where I bought my NX) for a couple of problems. Super sluggish and leaking loader valve which just happened in the last day, as well as the forward HST pedal became way easier to push than the reverse. My tractor's still on warranty (<90hrs) and I'm glad I ran into this post (and that I recently joined this great site). I would be floored if they said to pay up front for issues that are clearly defects early in the life of this tractor. Anyhow, glad I got this heads up and will see how this goes.

Have you inspected the linkage on the pedals? Sticks can get in there and mess with the spring return.

Reading along with interest I have to say that ANY emissions related issues on ANY BRAND is covered for 5 years by FEDERAL EPA mandate. The manufacturer has to and is bound by Federal law to remedy the issue at NO COST to the end user.

Think I'd take the issue upstairs to Kioti corporate and the local EPA office. I would have not paid a dime toward any emissions related repair. No exceptions.

good point, you bet, there's a 1/2 inch pin that holds both pedal tension springs and has started to slide out for some odd reason. It's on my list of fixes for this dealership visit. Wish I had a shop!

Here is the latest on my refund from Kioti. I messaged the dealer on Friday about it. His wife checked the warranty claims and found that Kioti had reimbursed them a total of $573.00 for my out of pocket expenses of around $2200.00 for the 3 warranty claims for the same issue. She is sending me a check for $573.00. I am not happy and will be pursuing this further very soon with Kioti. They screwed me over and now I will put together a nice letter to them with copies of my receipts and a copy of their emissions warranty. More to follow as I go forward with this issue. I previously notified the EPA about helping me out with this issue. They responeded that someone would be in touch. I never heard back from them.

Quick update about my Kioti warranty repairs on my NX4510. The dealership in northern BC was excellent. They replaced a corroded loader cable and I believe o-rings in the loader valve that was causing the oil leak. The retaining pin for the pedals is held by a single bolt that had somehow worked itself loose, nothing major, but they took care of that too. The mirror that had fallen off due to a failed weld was taken care of...they replaced the whole bracket. It's not a great design and I expect it to fail once again.

All this to say, my local Kioti dealer came through and was able to get things approved, parts brought in and the repairs done.
The process worked well for me this time.

Winter's not done here, so I invested in a 76" 3 point blower which is my first PTO implement. Now, I have to look at why my Auto/manual PTO function won't work. Hopefully just a fuse or something simple.

I can not say enough good things about my dealer with reference to Warrenty Repairs. Never had to prepay for anything related to a problem. I知 thankful for them and the service. This last round (Hydro related) on NX4510 lasted on and off for 6 months.
I am however trading it for a NX5510 non Hydro staying with the Pack only because of my Dealer. It痴 only because of them it could have been a much different outcome without them having my back
